Over the years, God has used LifePoint to reach our community and beyond with the transformative message of Jesus. Your generosity has helped expand our reach, establishing new gatherings, serving local neighborhoods and the world, and sharing God’s Word in new places. As you give, you become part of God’s transformative work—spreading His love, hope, and purpose here and around the world.
ADDITIONAL WAYS TO GIVE
We recognize there are multiple ways to live a generous life and that includes multiple ways to further the ministry of the church. Below are various options to consider.
Donating from a Brokerage Account
You may find benefit in donating cash and/or stocks from a brokerage account. There are tax advantages that exist to make this a useful way to give.
Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)
Once you get to 70 1/2 birthdays, QCD’s are tax-free gifts up to $100,000 per year from an Individual Retirement Account (IRA). When you get to 73 birthdays, QCDs count toward the required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year. Here is a link to an IRS news release on QCD’s with more details: IRS QCD News Release. To qualify, the QCD is sent directly to the church from the institution managing the IRA.
Company Match
When you give, it inspires others to give. Many organizations have corporate grant programs and/or employee donation matching. Your workplace may be partnered with an entity like YourCause where they will coordinate and match your donations to your church to a certain amount. Certainly, the church is willing to create an account with other entities – we are proud of what God is doing here and happy to share it. Talk to your organization if any such benefit exists where your generosity can go even further. Contact us to discuss setting up a profile with a new entity.
