Disaster Relief

Only a few moments after promising His disciples that they would face intense hardship, Jesus gave them a hope that went even deeper. He said, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” This is the hope and peace to which we cling in moments like these.

In the past week we have all witnessed the catastrophic effects of Hurricane Ida in Louisiana and Mississippi. LifePoint Church is working in coordination with our local missions’ partner 4B Disaster Response Network (4BDRN) to help those in need. 4BDRN exists to mobilize a network of churches to reflect the gospel of Jesus Christ by serving people affected by disaster.

If you want to donate financially, LifePoint Church and 4BDRN are partnering with Houston Responds to direct all support to the Southwest Louisiana Coalition (SWLA Responds) on the ground in Louisiana, in the hardest hit area. At the current time, 4BDRN is not organizing a supply drive or sending specific teams. If these details change, we will adjust accordingly.

There are three ways to get involved.

  • Give directly through LifePoint by donating to our missions fund, and designate “Ida.”

  • Learn more about 4BDRN and their response.

  • Connect with Houston Responds and SWLA by visiting their website.
